Can you take a picture of this? We no longer have the X940E, so we can’t check this.

It’s the same brightness setting, there aren’t two. It’s just on the first screen of picture settings along with color … These are just quick setting links for those if all you need to do is sfjust brightness or color quick without going deeper into the settings. If you change brightness on that first screen and then go to the next screen where contrast, etc., are also you’ll see the number is the same, and visa-versa, If you change brightness on the screen where contrast is and go back to the first screen it’ll be the same number. So there’s only one brightness setting but two places you can change it.
