AKASO V50X Native 4K30fps WiFi Action Camera with E: Discussion
We’ve purchased the product and are waiting for it to arrive in our lab.
Can’t wait to see the results.
I’d really like to see this compared to the razor viper ultimate, the model O2, and the pulsar X2,
Our testers have started testing this product; is there anything specific you’re looking to see? Let us know in this thread.
A direct comparison against the viper V2 pro could also be cool since it seems to offer similar features for half the price. Even though it’s not an ergonomic mouse, maybe how good it would compare against the deathadder in terms of claw grip. You guys already do click latency and all that stuff so I’m not worried about that.
This mouse is a claw grip option I’m interested in, but I’ve also heard some criticism about the side buttons from other reviewers so it deep dive on that could be nice
Early access to our full test results is now available for Insiders! Become an insider to check it out here.
Are all tests done at the highest mouse frequency? Since 8000hz is a frequency that is not used practically, I would like to see the test results at 1000Hz as well. In particular, Pulsefire Haste2 has outstanding sensor performance. I would love to know a pure comparison with a 1000hz mouse like GproX.
We always look forward to the reviews you create.

Yes, our tests are done at the highest polling rate. As for your specific request, I’ll pass it along to our testers for additional consideration, we just can’t make any guarantees.
Firmware 1.1.0.8 has been released this week and brought significant click and motion latency improvements. Is there any chance you will update the latency tests?
Update: We’ve added a link to the newly-reviewed Razer Cobra in the Shape section of this review.
Great review!
Not sure this matters, but the article in the configuration software section mentions that the NGENUITY software is only available on the Windows store. However, on their website, right below the download on the Windows store button is another one that lets you download the software as a standalone exe.
Anyway thanks for the review currently have this mouse definitely the best mouse I’ve used so far.

Hi there,
Thanks for the kind words. And you’re absolutely right—it looks like the NGENUITY software is now also available for download as an exe directly on the HyperX website. We’ll add this detail to the review. Thanks for pointing it out to us!
Best wishes,
I’ve discovered a problem with my wired haste 2, and wondered if anyone at Rtings has encountered the same issue. The mouse tracking stutters for a second after switching the DPI. One reddit user commented on a post I made to r/mousereviews claiming HyperX have made a mistake in their firmware implementation of the sensor in this mouse. I have no way to verify this, but they say they have had the same issue. Didn’t notice anything about this problem in the review.
Just wondered if the Rtings staff have comment. Thanks.

Hey there,
Thanks for reaching out to us! I read through the thread you posted in your comment and I can confirm at the time of testing this was not something we noticed. With that being said, I decided try and replicate this issue today by switching the DPI directly on the mouse, and then in the software and I can confirm that both our units (Pulsefire Haste 2 Wireless and the Wired version) I did not experience any sort of stutter, or anything else out of the ordinary. FYI: The firmware tested: ( Wired: v1.1.0.4) (Wireless: v1.1.0.7 & the latest FW update: v1.1.0.9).
Hopefully the issue can get resolved with a firmware update for you and those affected by the issue! Definitely keep us posted.

Thank you for the reply. I tested my unit again today, and found that the issue only happens when the HyperX software is not running on my PC. When the HyperX ingenuity utility is running the DPI switch happens without the stutter. Did you test it with the utility running in the background? Wondering if I just got a faulty mouse. Might send in for a replacement, and test it again. It’s a good mouse, but a weird issue.
Update: We’ve converted this review to Test Bench 1.5. This update adds a new Main Button test group, which provides button actuation data and switch information. We’ve also made minor changes to how we calculate the Office usage score. For more details, you can see our full changelog here.
Hey Brainlet, we apologize for the long wait! We have it on our list to retest, you should be expecting to see the update in the upcoming weeks.
Update: When this mouse launched, the configuration software was only available for download from the Microsoft Store. The software is now available for download from HyperX’s website as well. We’ve added this new information to the Configuration Software of this review.
I’m curious if others have encountered the issue of the mouse scroll wheel jumping after a seemingly random period of use straight out of the box. I’ve gone through two RMA processes with HyperX, and each time they sent me brand-new mice. This problem appears to be a manufacturing issue, as it persists across all the mice I’ve received from them. It’s disappointing because I really like this mouse, but the scrolling problem worsens over time with prolonged use.
For those unfamiliar with the term “scroll wheel jump,” it refers to the unexpected behavior of scrolling down and having it jump (scroll) up, or scrolling up and experiencing an unexpected jump (scroll) down during the scrolling motion.

I am having the exact same problem with this mouse. I am currently in my third RMA process, and they offered me to choose a different model now, instead of getting a replacement of this specific mouse

I had the same problem with my first Pulse Haste 2 bought last summer. I’ve created an RMA and they gave me a new Pulse Haste 2. However 4 months later I’m having the same problem with the new one. Today I wrote them again. Let’s hope is a bad batch. I agree is a shame. The mouse fits perfectly my needs, but this problem just makes the mouse totally unusable.
