Shopping for a 55" TV, started by looking at the UN7300 because of a very strong recommendation of a videophile/audiophile friend who has one and loves it. I’m surprised to find that the model gets mediocre reviews. One thing that caught my eye in your review was the unremarkable results in the sound measurements. My friend usually sets up a top quality audio system for his TVs. But he found that the LG, with its sound profile set for “music” and with its response calibrated using the “AI acoustic tuning” feature (that uses the microphone in the remote), has such good sound that he did not feel the need to run the sound through an external system. My question for you is, in your review, did you do any adjustments of the sound, including calibration? Or are your measurements of the speaker performance just using the out of the box settings?
