Sennheiser RS 195 RF Wireless - Can this headphone work with a older TV that doesn’t have Blue Tooth

    Hi there!

Yes, these headphones are designed to work with TVs that don’t have Bluetooth. They don’t use Bluetooth either. Their base connects to your TV using a TRS or Optical connection, and relays information to the headphones, so you get a wireless connection without Bluetooth.

    Hope that helps!

This review is terrible. They dont even do enough remedial research to know these cans are designed for those with hearing loss. So critiquing them as though they were a normal set of cans is absurd. They get rave reviews around the internet, even being labeled audiophile cans. Put it this way: either rtings is off or everyone else is. Everyone writes about how quality the sound is. If you have trouble making out dialogue, buy these. Music mode works great for music and fine for movies. Its surprising they gave them some bass too. But honestly don’t base your decision on one uninformed reviewer.

Hi there, thanks for leaving us some of your thoughts. Just to clarify, this review is on a pretty old test bench, so it’s not as up-to-date as we’d like. That said, there are still some performance metrics unrelated to the adaptability of the eq, which will affect most listening experiences. Of note are the frequency response consistency, peaks/dips, and imaging to a lesser extent (it is dependent on quality control). Regardless of eq application, headphones’ overall scores would still be brought down by poor performance in these categories.

Unfortunately, as much as we’d like to keep all our reviews up to date, it’s just not possible to do. We also no longer have our unit, so we won’t be able to update the review to reflect our newer philosophy or test other features like their dialogue function. We do talk about their hearing profile features in our TV Headphones Recommendations as we’re able to keep that article up to date. I hope that provides a bit more context. Please let us know if you have any other feedback.
