HyperX Cloud 2/Cloud II
Logitech G Pro X Gaming Headset
The Logitech G Pro X Gaming Headset is more versatile than the HyperX Cloud 2/Cloud II. The Logitech have a more neutral sound out of the box, an app to customize their sound to your liking, and easier to use controls. On the other hand, the HyperX have a slightly better microphone, channel mixing, and build quality. They can often be found a little cheaper than the Logitech, too.

This seems to be a direct-lit TV, at least if its thickness is any indication. Considering your findings about the durability concerns of edge-lit LCD, this may be a smart choice for those who want a low-priced Samsung TV.

what size did you purchase?
the DU6900 has a similar thickness to its higher-end counterpart and is edge-lit. last year’s similar CU7000 is also edge-lit. these TVs are probably thicker because they essentially advertise their higher-end models’ thinness as a feature known as AirSlim.
The 65” model for this one!
Based on other reviews from Youtube, I’m gonna go out on a whim and order this thing. Walmart has it on sale and I looked at it in store and it looked incredible. Can’t wait to hear y'alls thoughts on it!
Really disappointed at Samsung on this one for 2 main reasons: 1, it’s edge-lit, a step back from their 7 series from last year, which was direct back-lit. And, they’re giving the excuse that it prevents glare better, which is just incorrect, if it actually does then I’d credit the slightly more matte finish screen. And 2, it has no optical port, I’m actually baffled by the decision to exclude a basic feature that’s been standard for like 20+ years. I understand that video pass-through is easy and widespread with pretty much everything, but why? I sell tv’s that cost $80 that still have an optical port, it’s like making a car without an FM radio, it’s mind boggling.
What source do you have that it’s edge-lit? And last years 7 series was edge-lit according to rtings review. https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/samsung/cu7000-cu7000d This is why I would like the review to be done relatively soon, because there is a lot unknown about this model but it is Samsung‘s cheapest this year so it is probably already selling a lot. If it‘s really edge-lit but has this thicker sided and bezelled design than the CU7000, with the imo less elegant looking feet, then that’s rather disappointing if it‘s not really cheaper.
While I know it’s not always accurate, under specifications, Best Buy shows the Backlight Type as “Direct Lit” (so not strictly edge lit or full-array, but some combination of the two).
Direct-lit isn’t a combination of full and edge, it’s strictly full-array but without the local dimming part of it.

The image in the Flicker-Free section appears to show that the PWM level is similar to the Samsung DU6900, but the description states otherwise. I’m wondering if this might be an error, as I’m considering a new TV but only if I can adjust it to eliminate PWM due to my sensitivity. Thank you!
Hi there,
The flicker behavior is very similar between these two TVs, and since the graphs are done in the most accurate picture mode, they look almost the same. The only difference between them is in the less accurate modes like Game, Dynamic, Standard, Eco, and Entertain. In those modes, the DU6900 is flicker-free above a setting of ‘19’, but the DU7200 flickers at 480Hz. It’s not possible to get a flicker-free image on the DU7200.

Just purchased this and tried to copy the recommended settings. I have the settings set to the same for everything. I’m noticing some apps look crystal clear (Netflix, Disney+) while my main streaming service YouTube tv seems not as crisp. It’s making me feel like this tv isn’t great but I know it is capable! I know some channels don’t come in 1080p on YTTV but even the ones that do don’t seem as clear. Games for instance don’t look clear. Some movies and shows too. I can’t adjust anything else in YouTube tv. Anything else I can try?
55 and 65 DU7200 are direct lit, not edge. I contacted Samsung directly
CU7000 55 and 65 are direct lit?
Hi,
Is the DU7200 the same as the DU7100 available in the UK?
Thanks.
Hey there. I took a look at the specs for the DU7100 and they seem to be pretty much the same as the DU7200, but there’s often differences with how US models perform versus UK models, so I really can’t say for sure since we didn’t test the UK model. Sorry I couldn’t give you a concrete answer.
