There are critical problems with Apple MacBook Pros that are difficult or impossible to assess without months of use. In particular, Apple has designed a lifetime into their hardware which is short. There are fatal hardware design flaws that Apple has known about for years. In particular, components that cannot tolerate high heat or voltage are adjacent to components that run hot or carry high voltages. Moreover, Apple’s answer to right-to-repair legislation has been to comply with the letter of the law while thumbing its nose at the spirit. Repair is typically possible in name only, especially if it requires replacement of a hardware component (even replacement with a new Apple component). Be warned. Apple aims to rob you.
