Iโm wondering if the Roomba i5 offers the same sealing and anti allergy properties as this one? I have a j5+ but Iโm thinking of returning it due to dust mite allergies that flared up during use. Would appreciate any insight that you guys might have
Hi Galloflom,
Apologies, but since we do not have this model we would not be able to confirm for sure with testing. Thereโs not much information available from the manufacturer other than they have a high efficiency filter. The j5+, i3 and i5 all use the same filter so it would be expected that they perform similarly, but itโs very possible they have different build qualities that affect how they trap in air particles. Since the i4 and i7 both seem to do well in our smoke test, I could assume that the i5 might preform well to, but once again there is no guarantees. Alternatively, the j7+ and S9 are newer models that donโt show much smoke escaping from the unit during our smoke test, so they could also be good iRobot options.
Thanks for reaching out to us and I hope you have a great day!
