I got those buds mostly for Youtube and sometimes music consumption, and I actually really like how they sound, especially after AutoEq. One interesting bit about latency for those who might be looking for such information - on Windows 11, a Bluetooth 5.0 adapter (ASUS BT-500) and the AAC codec, I have measured approximately 310 ms of audio latency - so it really is essentially unusable for wireless gaming.

  3. Update: We’ve converted this review to Test Bench 1.8, which updates our target curve and Sound tests. You can read more about this in our changelog.

The sound signature on these is insane, a legit upgrade over my Jabra Elite 3 for half the price. It’s like going from 1440p to 4k. Same general vibe, but extra crispy on top. +0.5 dB in the highs and it’d be too much. The bass is overwhelming on certain tracks, but you can easily adjust that. Hell, I’d use these for mixing in a heartbeat.

Wow, I was about to reply with a negative comment saying that these struggle with transients, but bruh, these are so good that they’re the only ones who can detect the differences in transients. My phone speaker, my speakers, my jabras, my akg k361 couldn’t reproduce what the artist did, but these did.

Teminite - Duckstep, the kick and snare sounded wildly different on these, yet none of the others seemed to reproduce the difference. I was about to post how crap these JBLs are, but listening closely, there was a pattern. Teminite put a click sample in each section, on the kick, on the snare, off beat, randomly every 4 bars. It really sounded like going from a perfect kick to a kick that has a 12 dB boost at 8khz.

I heard some differences with each setup, sure, but these pinpointed what was actually wrong. Hell, I’ll use these to mix Hollywood soundtracks, idfc
