i want a review of this too — considering that the QNED80 got better this year, i would anticipate something closer to last year’s version of the aforementioned TV in terms of performance.

i would anticipate a review of this TV sometime in February. if they order it late this month or early next month, they don’t mark it as “in the lab” until they get back from holiday break. testing and writing the review might take two or three weeks combined.

how do i know this? well, you can check the timeline of a review under their verdict. many products that have been ordered around the times mentioned above don’t get reviewed until late January or February [see an example here; scroll down a little bit]

The BEST BUY price for the LG QNED75 just dropped to $699.99 [from $849.99], $150. off ! So yes, please review this LG TV as soon as possible, for end-of-year pricing will likely be similar. — Thank you for all your magnificently excellent work & reviews !!

i’d say no — better option: Hisense U7K [model number U7K in the US, U78KM in Canada] or TCL Q7/Q750G. both are cheaper and better by a big margin.

What do you base this on? I am stumped since I have a QNED75 new in box, could not find the U7K anywhere for a reasonable $$$.

The biggest thing the QNED75 lacks is some form of local dimming. Both the U7K and the Q750G have full-array backlights for more precise light output across the entire panel, whereas the QNED75 is edge-lit, meaning the backlight is sourced from the edges of the TV which doesn’t give you the greatest contrast for overall picture quality and detail. Both the U7K and Q750G also are much brighter, have higher refresh rates for smoother action or a higher quality gaming experience, and many more upgrades. The QNED75 should have better viewing angles though, so for a wide seating arrangement, that should help. Basing prices on 65" TVs right now, all three are running at $699.

LG released info last week on the 2024 QNED lineup; the QNED80T may be a 2024 QNED75 with a few small additions/upgrades

I am hoping this review gets done soon as it is the final main-line model of the major brands from 2023 to be done before the 2024 season. Skipping this model would be a shame, not because it is an amazing TV, but for completion’s sake.

greysong - have you been using the qned75? I am concerned about the edge lighting (at least on the 55" I still have in box) and off center viewing///????

I do not have the QNED75, but I work at a TV retailer and see it on display every day. I would say that I am concerned about the edge-lighting, but to be honest, compared to the QNED80, the backlight looks better. I believe this is because the QNED80 system is sectioned, which is a poor attempt at local dimming and looks horrible, but I do not think the QNED75 has this. Contrast is still low however and does have a hazy look to it. This TV has really wide viewing angles, I really wouldn’t worry about this if that is a main concern of yours. If you will mainly use this TV for general TV watching/sports, the occasional daytime movie, this TV will work just fine. It just isn’t optimized for detailed-oriented images. Watching movies at night will not give much pop or immersion.

haha I definitely respect the effort! For the most part, we do our best to stay on top of most threads/discussions that happen on the website. When it comes to buying products, we have a few different factors. One is the evident one, being our review pipeline page when products win the vote. Alternatively, our product manager also assess things internally and attempts to buy and test products that we expect a large number of users to care about. This means we consider user feedback as well, and the sentiment in some of these product threads. At this time, we don’t have any immediate plans to buy it, but I did make sure to pass along the sentiment shared by the users in this thread to our product manager for additional consideration!

Seems like this one is past it’s “best by” date. The 2024s are coming out - when do u take this out of the list to reduce any confusion on if there will actually be a review?

Generally speaking, as soon as the new models are released, our product manager starts to reject last year’s models with “Finished for this year”. So it’ll be sooner rather than later!

You guys could still buy it. I think there’s plenty of support from this forum for it to happen. Reviews have been done on TVs with less support and votes.
