When you say your Bose 700’s work fine, does that mean you’ve not perceived any lip-sync problems?
thanks
No lip sync issues in over 10 hours of headphone use on Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, or cable tv through TiVo Bolt. Headphone sound and video match just like using internal tv speaker. I’ll be trying several other wireless headphones over next few days, i.e., Apple Airpod Pro, Bose QC 35, Sennheiser earbuds, and others. Bluetooth headphone pairing is automatic when turning on TV and headphones after first time headphones are paired if bluetooth is enabled on TV.

👍
I’ve been using mine with an old set of AirPods and other than the occasional drop out when walking around (which is likely more the AirPods than the TV) it works great! Love how it automatically pairs and switches the TV audio, showing the volume level for the headphones which you can control with the remote.
Not sure if it’s specific to the AirPods, but I noticed I had to set the volume much higher than the TV volume for it to be audible, but what’s great is that it’s a separate volume setting from the TV speakers. So when the audio switches back to the TV it remembers the TV setting and isn’t blaring. And also remembers the last headphone setting as well.
As OP for this thread I will provide a two week update:
With rtings.com settings I’m getting stunning HDR/Dolby Vision performance in a darkened home theater room. I just haven’t yet found the need to change anything except to turn down brightness. We are very pleased with this TV.
Configuring HDMI to work with my Yamaha TSR-8710 Receiver along with Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire 4K, and Tivo Mini all connected to my receiver has been challenging since I have no experience with HDMI. Without going into detail I found I needed to reread every device’s user manual and configure (and reconfigure) settings, including CEC, on all devices to get it all working so I can get HDR/Dolby Vision and Dolby Digital + (with Dolby Atmos). I still can’t get my Roku Ultra (2018) to work in 4K UHD HDR without continuous picture flashing and screen blanking. I had to set it to 4K without HDR and that seems to settle it down. On one occasion, with enabled CEC, the TV would not send any sound to the receiver. Once, my TV and receiver turned on in the middle of night I assume because of some HMDI CEC gremlin. I had to reboot the TV once to reestablish what I think experts call “handshaking”. For now, everything seems stable but for me this has not been a “plug-and-play” experience.
App Memory Storage Limitation: With about 10 apps loaded I get a “memory low” notification on screen. I solved this by installing a USB flash memory stick with 16GB and installing and formatting it using on-screen instructions. This frees up some space by moving app data and cache to the memory stick but still doesn’t allow transfer of apps to the memory stick. Sony seems to only provide about 4GB of user app storage space which I quickly used up.
I have a new Apple TV 4K (2021 version) coming Friday and am looking forward to testing with this TV.
I get Dolby Atmos sent to my receiver through the TV’s HDMI 3 ARC connector. It seems to be riding in the Dolby Digital + signal. I didn’t think it would work without using eARC which my receiver doesn’t have. It’s not clearly stated in rtings.com’s review and writeup
I continue to be impressed with this TV every day. I’ve watched dedicated 4K HDR/Dolby Vision You Tube videos for hours immersed and enthralled. I’ve visited Norway, Bermuda, and many countries thanks to You Tube 4K. Netflix UHD HDR and similar Amazon movies and TV shows are stunning. I’m not a gamer so I can’t comment. For our home theater this TV really checks all the boxes. I think it’s a contender against all currently available TVs in its category.
Thanks for the update OP
Hi there. Have you found if there’s a quick way of copying settings from one input/source to another?.
