Are you guys going to retest the gpu once some updates come out? Someone built the QC drivers separately and they post them on GitHub (the drivers are coming in windows update eventually) Anyways the fps/ game support went way up in many games.Using the one from last month is a world of difference. It’s still not a fast gpu but my performance seems to follow a steam deck + sometimes a chunk higher. Also I am curious to see display testing on the IPS, a few other reviewers found the ips doesn’t cover the adobe standards.
Hey!
We’re definitely open to revisiting the laptop to test for updates that would impact the performance in a meaningful way. We’d be happy to do this for any of our laptops, provided there’s a lot of noise around a particular update. Unfortunately though, we won’t be using any third party drivers for the review itself. However, once it’s out in Windows that shouldn’t be a problem at all.
Well, we have the Surface Laptop 7th Edition 15 with an IPS screen, so keep an eye out on that review if you want to see those results for the display. It should be in early access early to mid next week.
