    Hey everyone!

We know a lot of you have been asking about Rev 2.0 for this monitor, and we actually just purchased two units of the M27Q. Because there isnโ€™t a way to know which version youโ€™re buying, weโ€™re hoping at least one of them is Rev. 2.0, and if it is, weโ€™ll test it to see how it compares with Rev 1.0. You can follow along with the updates here!

Can confirm that Newegg on eBay sells Rev 2.0 as I just received mine today. I can tell it is from the 165Hz written on the box and no screws behind the VESA mount โ€” just clips instead. Almost no backlight bleed and no dead pixels. Ignore their 170Hz 0.5ms product description on eBay though, it is indeed Rev 2.0. For anyone else looking for Rev 2.0, I hope you see this ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks for sharing this info with us!

Since the M27Q is a popular pick and is listed under many categories in Rtings, can you at least update your old listing rating from Rev 1.0 to Rev 2.0 please. I have reached out to Gigabyte eSupport and this is what they had to say โ€œRev 1.0 is no longer being sold, but we do not know if vendors are carrying an older stock.โ€

Thanks for the info! We havenโ€™t bought Rev 2.0 because itโ€™s unclear from retailers which version theyโ€™re selling, so we can buy one and end up getting Rev 1.0 again. However, because itโ€™s such a popular monitor, weโ€™ll keep our eye out for it to see if we can get Rev 2.0 in the future.

The Gigabyte M27Q change the panel from version 1โ€™s sharp LQ270T1JG08 to version 2โ€™s innolux M270KCJQ7B. It seems to be a degrade.

  8. Update: Added that the Gigabyte M27Q P is a newer monitor that uses an RGB subpixel layout for better Text Clarity.
