Let’s start with explaining DTS. This is a 5.1 surround sound audio format, similar to Dolby Digital, though not as common. You’re most likely to find it as a fallback for the higher-quality DTS HD-MA on Blu-rays, whereas Dolby Digital is a bit more common on streaming platforms. Still, if you’re curious as to whether DTS support is relevant to you, I’d recommend taking a look at the content you like to listen to— the audio format is usually advertised pretty prominently there.
Now, if you scroll down to the Connectivity section of this review, you can see that the Vizio M Series M512a-H6 soundbar supports both Optical and HDMI connections. These make it easy to connect to TVs like the LG C2. Of course, as you can see from our review here, this particular TV doesn’t support DTS, so you aren’t able to take advantage of this audio format. Again, whether that matters to you depends on the type of content you like to listen to. The LG C3 OLED may be a good alternative if you want a similar model with DTS support.
Hope this helps! As always, don’t hesitate to reach out with further questions.
Thank you. then I have nothing to worry about. Im always using streaming apps on the tv. Though My Xbox plays movies through a blue ray app when I rent/purchase them in the Xbox marketplace. Idk if that’s the same thing as a blue ray disc or is it considered streaming?

Great question! Again, it’s going to depend on the content in particular— for example, if you scroll through Netflix right now, you’ll see that some movies are available in Dolby Atmos, others in Dolby Digital, others in DTS, etc. It’s best to take a look at the app in question to check the format of the content you’re most interested in, and from there, you should be able to see whether it’s DTS or not.
Gotcha. Thank you. does this sound at play dolby digital to? Because if I can’t get DTS on the tv might as well have both Dolby digital and atmos

Yes, this soundbar supports both Dolby Digital and Dolby Atmos content. If you’re ever unsure of which audio formats a soundbar or a TV supports, you can always scroll down to the Audio Format Support section of the review to confirm!
