Jabra Elite 8 Active Gen 2
Jabra Elite 10 Gen 2 True Wireless
The Jabra Elite 8 Active Gen 2 True Wireless represent a better value than the Jabra Elite 10 Gen 2 True Wireless. While both buds offer a comfortable, stable fit, the 8 are designed for more rugged use, featuring an IP68 rating against dust and water damage. Although you'd expect the 10, Jabra's flagship earbuds, to perform better in noise isolation, we found that there was practically very little difference in performance between them, with the 8 performing slightly better in our full-range testing. As a result, there's not much to justify the additional outlay on the 10 unless you're dead set on their Dolby Atmos head tracking capabilities or prefer their oblong-shaped tips.

To follow up here. The issue remains in Dolby Vision content from the Apple TV 4K (1st, 2nd and now 3rd gen devices). It doesn’t occur with same devices and other TVs. It doesn’t occur in HDR+ mode. And interestingly, also doesn’t occur in Dolby Vision at 30hz, only 60 (and 50).
Tried a beta firmware from Hisense to no avail. They are coming for an on-site Support, I doubt that will resolve anything, so will be returning my set. It seems like a great deal, but if I can’t watch Dolby vision, I can’t keep it.
Have had my 75" U8H a couple of days and I see both these issues and bad. Despite mucking around with configuration of the various Dolby Vision settings I cannot get a decent picture. Generally the gamma appears lifted and it introduces a lot of noise in dark areas. Also very noticeable banding/posterization in color gradients in DV (only). This is not present in other HDR modes.
I’m working with content via the Apple TV (4k, second gen) where you can specifically control presented HDR content. But I also see it through the TV native apps. I’m really quite disappointed with the DV picture. I too can’t understand how this set is getting such glowing HDR reviews with these DV problems.
I have logged a support issue with Hisense, will see what they come up with, but if not a fix soon, will return it.
