since i noticed a mistake, could you please fulfill my request and test wireless, 2000hz with motion sync, 800dpi, 2mm lod and wired in high speed mode, without motion sync, 800dpi, 2mm lod
Hey Synd1cate! 😄I’ll keep you posted but should be able to provide more information by Friday. Thank you again and have a wonderful week!
Why was the iquinox 63HE rapid trigger tested at 0.05mm, while the Nuphy Air 60HE was tested at 0.1mm, especially since both can reach 0.01mm? This difference in testing parameters seems to skew the results.
Hi and thank you Erasble! 😄The Nuphy Air 60HE was indeed tested at 0.01mm. We always go for the lowest actuation and rapid trigger to get the optimal results. When it comes to the IQUNIX EZ60/EZ63, we bought the model with the star trail switches. The minimum rapid trigger for that switch is 0.05mm and that’s why it was tested at these settings.
It’s laaughable thaat this keyboaard has a rating of 9. Why would RTINGS squaander their reputation supporting such a terribly defective keyboarad? Every typo in this messagae was caaused by ythe aawful chatter issue tht my keybord is suffering.
I have aalready used all 36 replacement key switches, yet the remaianing switches continue to fail at aan aalarming raate. Even my replacement switches seem to be failing.
Razer refuses to replace the entire keyboard. Instead, they offer 36 switches. That number of switches is deeply inadequaate for repairing the defect in this keyboard. So not only does their product suck but also they refuse to adequately honor their warranty and make it right.
Hi xanderstein!
Thank you for your feedback! We acknowledged in typing quality the fact that some users are encountering chatter issues with this board. For the gaming experience we are mostly testing the latency hence why the score is good.
We didn’t encounter any issues with our keyboard during testing but we will be using it more thoroughly to see if we encounter the issues like many users are. Additionally, we will be adding a warning on the page pointing out this issue that might happen when purchasing the keyboard.
Thank you again
Hi dremsdrifting I went ahead and tested 4000hz motion sync off and here’s the results:
Delay To Start Of Movement: 12.5 ms
Delay At Half Movement: 2.1 ms
Delay To End Of Movement: 3.7 ms
Thank you and if ever there’s something you’d like us to test don’t hesitate! 😄
Hi team, as seen here, there is a new firmware upgrade that adds “Custom Static Lighting Mode”.
From what I could see, that does enable custom per-key backlighting, however it is not very intuitive.
Would you be able to test this new firmware?
Hi Rhystic1 and thank you for the heads up! 😄 I went ahead tested the custom static lighting mode feature that was added in the new firmware. It’s a nice feature but I agree that it’s not intuitive right away where you have to make sure you deselected the previous key or else it will make all the selected keys the same. We will add information about that new feature shortly in the review. Thank you again and if ever there’s something specific you want us to try don’t hesitate! 😄
The custom MGX switches on this keyboard are not hot-swappable. Please fix this in the review text.
Thank you for your comment SharpEars!
I grabbed the K70 MAX and was able to remove the switches from the board. The MGX switches aren’t soldered. A moderator from Corsair on reddit also mentioned that they don’t officially support other switches like Lekker and they weren’t sure about compatibility. The confirguration of the pcb looks standard to other models that has similar switch designs.
With that being said, I tried swapping the switches with some Lekker45 and 60 since they looked like the MGX switches. It was easy to swap around and they both worked 😄. I also tried with Gateron Magnetic Jade switches, which is slightly different and it was working as well.
Let me know if there’s something you’d like me to verify with the board and thank you again for reaching out!
If you still have the Razer Pro Type Ultra/Blackwidow V3 Pro, could you test a few things? Could you link it up using the wireless dongle to a PC AND a Mac using a KVM to see if the keyboard still works satisfactorily for both devices? I just want to check because I know some wireless peripheral dongles act up with connected to a KVM.
I am currently using a regular wired Blackwidow that is connected to both PC and Mac via that KVM, and while both works great via KVM, the wire is making it difficult for me as I often have the Macbook in front of me while the monitor is on a higher stand behind it, so it’s hard to place the Blackwidow in front of it without scratching the Macbook. I really enjoy the Blackwidow clicky keys experience so I was thinking it might be good to stick to it.
I need a full-sized keyboard for work (as well as the person using the PC), so I can’t default to the Keychron V5 as well.
Hi lightbringer88! Thank you for the question 😄 We sadly don’t have the Razer Pro Type Ultra/Blackwidow V3 Pro to test it out. On the other hand I went ahead and tried with another Razer we have in the office. The DeathStalker V2 Pro that also offers wireless connectivity does indeed work without any issues. Only thing I would add is to make sure that you have a good KVM to reduce the possibility of issues.
Contrary to what is mentioned in the application, the onboard memory does not store any RGB colors.
A lot of people are in the same situation as me. Either razer doesn’t care about the app or windows drivers are broken.
Hey DogancanYr! Thank you for the reply. 😄 When we reviewed the product, we noticed that a lot of people mentioned that as well and we went ahead and looked into it. We also tried it with the Razer BlackWidow Elite. We reached to a similar conclusion that even though it does have onboard memory, lighting effects/chroma doesn’t carry over and forces you to have synapse open.
Was the latency tested on icue version 5.23 or 5.24? If using version 5.23 the actuation point setting would have been overrided by game mode so it would be at 1mm instead of 0.1mm
Hi arti!
Thanks you for reaching out! When I tested, the latest version of iCUE was 5.23. I compared the actuation point setting with Game Mode enabled and disabled, as you mentioned, and found that you are correct and the actuation does change between both modes. It’s even present in the updated version 5.24. Retesting the latency with Game Mode off showed a slight improvement in key press speed (from 2.4ms to 1.8ms) but a negative impact on key release (increasing from 5.4ms to 12.7ms). Thanks again for the insight! If there’s anything else you’d like us to test, just let us know! 😃
Was this tested at 8k in preliminary test’s? Or game mode?
HI jg615f and thank you for the question!
We tested the Corsair K70 Pro TKL with actuation set at 0.1 mm, rapid trigger activated, Gaming Mode on, and the polling rate set at 8K.
If there’s ever a setting you’d like us to check, don’t hesitate to ask. It would be my pleasure to try it out for you.😄
There has been some confusion online about the polling rate of this device. It’s supposed to be 500 Hz when connected via cable. Could you test that on a mouse polling rate website and tell us the results?
Hi RtingsUser202504,
Thank you for your comment!
We use a Beagle USB analyzer to capture USB data packets before they are processed by Windows. This allows us to measure the time intervals between actions sent by the trackball, determining the polling rate in hertz.
We originally tested the device on an older firmware version. Initially, we measured the polling rate at 500hz when wired (sometimes inconsistently reporting 125 or 250 Hz). Now consistently measure a polling rate of 125Hz across all connections.
I also went ahead and measured the polling rate using different polling rate websites as you suggested, and they confirm the new 125 Hz results.
Thank you again for the comment and don’t hesitate if you have any other questions 😊
Forgot to add the word “next” haha. I still have the results for you 😄 1) Wireless, 2000hz with motion sync, 800dpi, 2mm lod:
Delay To Start Of Movement : 16.0 ms Delay At Half Movement: 2.7 ms Delay To End Of Movement: 3.3 ms
2) Wired in high speed mode, without motion sync, 800dpi, 2mm lod:
Delay To Start Of Movement: 16.2 ms Delay At Half Movement: 4.1 ms Delay To End Of Movement: 2.8 ms
Thank you for your support! 😄
