The Dyson V15 Detect is a better fit for most uses than the Samsung Jet 70, though both vacuums perform quite similarly overall. The Dyson features a telescopic wand that allows you to adjust the vacuum height to your liking, comes with a secondary soft-roller floorhead that yields superior bare floor and crevice-cleaning performance, and has a considerably longer battery life. Unlike the Samsung vacuum, it also features a built-in particle sensor and can automatically adjust its suction power depending on the surface that it's on. However, the Samsung is lighter, quieter, and easier to maneuver, and delivers better performance on high-pile carpets. It's also compatible with a specialized mopping floorhead for dealing with stains on hard floors, but this needs to be purchased separately.
