LG C4 OLED
Samsung S90D OLED
The Samsung S90D OLED is mostly better than the LG C4 OLED. The Samsung gets brighter in HDR, so bright highlights stand out more on it, and it maintains its HDR brightness better while in Game Mode. The Samsung TV also has a wider color gamut, better color volume, and better HDR gradient handling, so colors in HDR are more vibrant, lifelike, brighter, and have less banding. The Samsung has a wider viewing angle, and the image doesn't have a green tint that worsens as you move off-center, so it's the better choice for watching TV in a group setting. However, the LG supports Dolby Vision and DTS audio formats, so it's the better option for those looking to get the most out of their physical media.

Thanks, Dylan. So for most purposes, a 1080 TV is better since most content is still in 1080?, or does a 4K have both 1080 and 4K capabilities? Sorry for the confusion :)
Hi Dylan,
Quick follow-up. Is a 1080 tv (the D) be better at displaying 1080 content than a 4k (theV)? Since most content is 1080 wondering if the D is generally better. I think I read 1080 is better for 1080 content somewhere but I could be wayyyy off! Thanks for all you guys do explaining the tech to us.
Hi Dylan,
Thanks for the answer!
Has the B9 been retested. The differences pointed out by the original poster between the B8 and B9 compared to the C8/9 are interesting.
Thanks @sgilmore! Appreciate the insight and advice!!
Thanks @sgilmore. The other issue is that the TV is mounted above a fireplace, which I’ve found out will give some (not sure how much) picture degeneration to the LED, while the OLED won’t have any.
Trying to see if I can put a different mount into the stone above the fireplace so that the LED can come down. I have one in there now, and am worried that it will create some issue with the stone. Might have to call an installer here: https://www.mantelmount.com/
@sgilmore62. Yeah, I’d do the 65" OLED, but the expense of a divorce lawyer on top of it will be WAY too much :)
looking forward to the review
Thanks for the information. I did not know that the P came in a 75". That’s sweet. Unfortunately, I can’t swing $3,500 for a TV right now. (limit is $1,500).
So I’m having a debate between the 70" E, the or the 65" P or M Quantum. Any thoughts? The M appears to be almost as good as the P? Or should I go 70"? Not sure about whether 5" is worth the picture quality tradeoff?
Thanks,
Thanks. Looking forward to it. Enjoy reading your reviews. Very informative!
