The Boltune BT-BH024 are decently versatile truly wireless in-ears, but like many budget headphones, they lack many features. Overall, they have a bass-heavy sound profile that provides an extra thump and punch to your favorite music. These lightweight in-ears have a decently comfortable fit, and they're stable enough to use during runs and light exercise. You can also bring them on the go thanks to their portable charging case, which can provide around five extra charges. Unfortunately, their integrated microphone isn't ideal for phone calls, their control scheme isn't very intuitive, and there aren't any customization features available.

Our Verdict

7.0
Mixed Usage

The Boltune BT-BH024 are decent for mixed usage. Their in-ear fit is decently comfortable, and they have a portable design. Overall, they have a slightly bass-heavy sound profile that can keep you pumped up during a workout or a long day at work. On the downside, like many budget headphones, they don't have a companion app, ANC, or sound customization options.

Pros
  • Portable design.
  • Good stability.
  • Long continuous battery life.
Cons
  • Control scheme isn't very intuitive.
  • Struggle to block out engines and bass-heavy sounds.
  • No sound customization features.
6.6
Neutral Sound

The Boltune BT-BH024 are fair for neutral sound. They have a bass-heavy sound profile that can please fans of bass-heavy genres like EDM and hip-hop but may not be ideal for listeners who prefer a more neutral audio reproduction. Their mid-range is well-balanced, so vocals and lead instruments are still present and clear in the mix. On the downside, their treble range is a bit recessed, so S and T sounds may sound dull and lifeless. Overall, they're suitable for most music genres, but they aren't ideal for critical listening.

Pros
  • Bass-heavy sound.
Cons
  • No sound customization features.
7.7
Commute/Travel

The Boltune BT-BH024 are good for commute and travel. They're decently comfortable, and if you like an in-ear fit, you can wear them for long periods without fatigue. They're also very portable, and their hard charging case helps protect them when you're on the go. Their nine-hour battery life is pretty good for truly wireless in-ears, and their charging case comes with around five extra charges, so you don't have to worry about recharging frequently. On the downside, they don't do a good job passively blocking out bass-heavy sounds like bus and plane engines.

Pros
  • Good at passively isolating noise.
  • Portable design.
  • Long continuous battery life.
Cons
  • Struggle to block out engines and bass-heavy sounds.
8.0
Sports/Fitness

The Boltune BT-BH024 are great for sports and fitness. Like most truly wireless in-ears, they're very portable, and they come with a small charging case for when you're on the go. These decently comfortable headphones come with three different sizes of earbud tips to help you find the most stable fit. They also have an IPX7 rating for water resistance, though we don't test for this. Unfortunately, their touch-sensitive controls aren't very intuitive, so it may take you a while to get used to their control scheme.

Pros
  • Portable design.
  • Good stability.
Cons
  • Control scheme isn't very intuitive.
6.8
Office

The Boltune BT-BH024 are adequate for office use. These lightweight in-ears have a decently comfortable fit, though they won't be ideal for everyone. On the upside, they do a good job passively isolating noise, especially typical office sounds like voices and AC units. They don't leak much noise, so you shouldn't bother your coworkers with your music. Also, their nine-hour battery life and portable charging case with around five extra charges should be more than enough to get you through your workday and your commute.

Pros
  • Good at passively isolating noise.
  • Long continuous battery life.
Cons
  • No ANC.
  • In-ear fit not ideal for all users.
5.1
Wireless Gaming

The Boltune BT-BH024 aren't recommended for wireless gaming. They're Bluetooth-only, so they aren't compatible with the PS4 or the Xbox One. They can be connected to Bluetooth-enabled PCs, but their high latency may not be suitable for gaming.

4.9
Wired Gaming

The Boltune BT-BH024 are wireless-only headphones that can't be used for wired gaming.

6.0
Phone Calls

The Boltune BT-BH024 are acceptable for phone calls. Their integrated microphone can make your voice sound thin, muffled, and lacking in detail. The mic also has a disappointing noise handling performance, so your voice may be drowned out unless you're calling from a quiet environment. On the upside, these comfortable in-ears do a good job passively isolating noise, so background noise shouldn't distract you from your call.

Pros
  • Integrated microphone.
  • Good at passively isolating noise.
Cons
  • No ANC.
  • Disappointing noise handling performance.

    Compared To Other Headphones

The Boltune BT-BH024 are decently versatile truly wireless Bluetooth in-ears. They have a slightly bass-heavy sound profile, and they come with a hard charging case that provides five extra charges. Like many budget headphones, they don't come with any customization options or an ANC feature. If you're looking for more headphones, see our recommendations for the best cheap wireless earbuds, the best truly wireless earbuds, and the best earbuds for running.

    Sennheiser MOMENTUM True Wireless 2

The Boltune BT-BH024 Truly Wireless perform similarly to the Sennheiser MOMENTUM True Wireless 2 and depending on your listening habits, you may prefer one over the other. The Boltune have a somewhat more neutral sound profile, and they have a more consistent frequency response. While the Sennheiser have a slightly more neutral bass reproduction, some users may prefer the Boltune's bass-heavy sound. Despite the fact that the Sennheiser have an ANC feature, the Boltune have a better noise isolation performance. They also have longer battery life. However, the Sennheiser have easier-to-use controls and a companion app that allows you to customize the sound profile using a graphic EQ.

    Apple AirPods Pro

The Apple AirPods Pro are better overall headphones than the Boltune BT-BH024 Truly Wireless. The Apple has an ANC feature, so they do a better job isolating background noise. They're also more comfortable, and their control scheme is easier to use. They have a more neutral and better-balanced sound profile than the Boltune too. That being said, the Boltune boast a longer battery life.

    Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2

The Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 are better in-ears than the Boltune BT-BH024 Truly Wireless. Both have a slightly bass-heavy sound profile, but the Anker are much better-balanced and more suitable for neutral listening. The Anker also come with a graphic EQ and presets in their companion app, so you can customize their sound, unlike the Boltune. Also, the Anker have a better microphone performance, so they're better for phone calls. That being said, the Boltune have a longer continuous battery life than the Anker.

    Samsung Galaxy Buds+

The Samsung Galaxy Buds+ are better overall headphones than the Boltune BT-BH024 Truly Wireless. The Samsung have a longer battery life, and a more comfortable, more stable in-ear fit. They also have a better-balanced sound profile out-of-the-box, and unlike the Boltune, you can adjust the sound profile using the EQ presets on the dedicated companion app. That being said, both pairs of in-ears lack an ANC feature, and the Boltune do a better job passively isolating background noise.

The Boltune BT-BH024 are decently comfortable. Like many in-ears, they go a little bit deep into the ears. The Boltune BT-BH024 have mediocre controls. While their controls are touch-sensitive, they aren't the most intuitive or easy to use. You can't control play/pause, other than by moving the buds in and out of your ears, and there isn't a pairing button. The control scheme is a bit confusing; for example, you don't know what volume level you're at because the earbuds only give feedback when you reach the volume min/max. You also can't remap these controls.

Like most in-ear headphones, the soundstage of these headphones is very bad. They don't interact with the pinna, or outer ear, which makes it difficult to create a speaker-like or out-of-head soundstage. As a result, these headphones don't have a very open or spacious soundstage, and sound seems like it's coming from in your head instead of all around you.

The earbuds can also be used in single mode, meaning that you can charge one earbud and continue to listen to audio through the other earbud if it still has battery. Also, these headphones are advertised to have a quick charging feature that gives you one hour of playtime from ten minutes of charging, but we don't test for this. On the downside, there isn't a power-saving feature.
