Hisense U7N [U7, U75N]
TCL QM7/QM751G QLED
The Hisense U7N and TCL QM7/QM751G QLED are closely matched, with the TCL having the edge. While the Hisense has far better reflection handling and is the most accurate of the two TVs in SDR and HDR, the TCL is the punchier option due to its deeper black levels, better color volume, and slightly higher peak brightness.

Yes, the QM7 is a bit better. Even before the Methodology change, but they kept recommending the U7N. Maybe because of having a better reflection handling 🤷♂️
I was looking at this comparison 3 days ago and you all said the Hisense U7 was the better tv. Now you are saying the TCL QM7 is the better tv. Is this correct?
Hello! Help with personalized buying advice is something our experts offer only via our insider forums. We do have lots of self-service tools and recommendation articles that should be helpful as well though!
I recently purchased a 75" U7N due to slightly higher ratings than the QM751. However, I have some buyers remorse as I see that the QM7 is recommended for 75" since the 75-inch U7N uses an ADS Pro panel instead of a VA panel, it doesn’t provide the same picture quality as the other sizes. I am wondering whether to return the U7N and get the QM751 or get a 65" U7N.
We sit about 12 feet from the TV and watch only streaming (YouTube TV, Hulu, and Netflix). I watch a lot of sports and we also watch dramas and documentaries. We only watch movies occasionally. The viewing angle is pretty much straight on in this room. Any advice on whether to stay with the 75" U7N, go with the QM751 or go down to the 65" U7N would be appreciated. Other options in this price range are also appreciated.
It’s important to keep in mind that our scores are based on a weighted average, so two displays can score similar overall but perform very differently in different ways. In this case, you’re right, in many different aspects the TCL is better. The Hisense has significantly better reflection handling and better accuracy out-of-the-box, two things which we feel more people care about. The other scores that go in TCL’s favor are honestly very close, and even if the TCL is slightly better in some ways, the difference isn’t very noticeable. The anti-reflective coating on the U7N, though, is very noticeable. Again, it’s a weighted average, so the weights we’ve assigned might not match your specific needs and usage.
I just compared the Qm7 vs U7’N step by step and the qm7 is rated higher or equal to every single category in the list yet for some reason, Rtings lists the U7N as the better buy in ALL of their review videos on YouTube. Why?!! Even if the Qm7 is $100-$200 more, it’s still the better tv. (According to Rtings specs).
