Samsung S90D OLED
Sony BRAVIA 8 OLED
The Samsung S90D OLED (QD-OLED) is better than the Sony BRAVIA 8 OLED. The Samsung gets a lot brighter in HDR, so highlights pop out more in HDR content. The Samsung also displays more lifelike, more vibrant, and brighter colors than the Sony with less banding. On top of that, the Samsung is more accurate in both SDR and HDR, has an even wider viewing angle, and supports 4k @ 144Hz for PC gamers with high-end graphics cards. However, the Sony is a bit better when it comes to upscaling low-resolution content and smoothing out low-quality content.
