Here are the calibration settings we used on the LG UF6400. We use the 'Expert1' picture mode because it is the closest to the look we want to achieve. To use the same settings for gaming, copy the settings under the 'Game' picture mode. Our settings are good for all content (movies, sports, video games, etc).
We had to increase 'Contrast' to 100 to correct some white balance values. Since we don't suggest copying the white balance values, you can leave contrast to its default value of 95. Set 'Backlight' to your liking. It won't mess up the picture quality and can help fight reflections in a bright room.
Leave all video processing off. Strangely, by default, setting 'Gamma' to 2.4 got us closer to gamma 2.2 (which is what we want to achieve with our calibration).
To enable the soap opera effect, turn on 'TruMotion'. Since this TV is 60 hz, it won't be able to interpolate a 60 hz signal.
The following screenshots are from our white balance and color calibration and are unique to each TV. We don't recommend you copy them, but if you want to give them a try, make sure to enter all values from the screenshots below (they are all active at the same time). If the picture doesn't improve (or gets worse), just reset the values to defaults.
