TCL QM8/QM851G QLED
TCL QM7/QM751G QLED
The TCL QM8/QM851G QLED is better than the TCL QM7/QM751G QLED. With a few exceptions, the QM8 does most things better than the QM7. The QM8 is noticeably brighter in HDR and SDR, has better contrast, and is more accurate in SDR prior to calibration. It also has much better reflection handling than the QM7, making it a far better option if you like to watch TV in extremely bright rooms. Still, the QM7 is more accurate in HDR and has better color volume in SDR. But, overall, the QM8 is a noticeable upgrade over the QM7.

This monitor is now available! IPS Black, 4K UHD 240 Hz + 1080 HD 480 Hz dual mode, 99% DCI-P3, 1 ms GtG, DisplayPort 2.1. Looks like it could be quite great!
We’ll get this updated ASAP! Some members of our team are away for the holidays though, so they likely won’t be able to get to this until the end of the week though!
Update done now!
Really interested in seeing how this stacks up, could make a great hybrid productivity and gaming monitor.
Hello,
Any update on the review status?
If there was an update, it would be posted in this thread unfortunately. This product likely needs more user interest before we buy it. Sorry about that!
+1 would love to see a review of this one, seems like this monitor covers everything, from productivity to gaming.
Very interested in this monitor. Really hoping it gets reviewed. Seems to be a good option for mixed use between productivity and gaming.
I use this monitor for work from home and non-competitive gaming at 4k and 144-240 fps
No noise
Matte panel with a lot of graininess that is noticeable at 50 cm, you have to sit at 80 cm to not see the grainy haze in white colour. This is a serious flaw for me because I can notice the graininess and it makes the panel feel very cheap and dated.
Lack of sufficient height adjustment, at the minimum it is still too high up from the desk to be comfortable
Back-light bleed is noticeable at dark room conditions, mine has a very intrusive haze at the top right which is distracting when the picture is very dark.
No option to disable DSC
All in all, I do not think this display is worth it because it still suffers from old flaws with LG panels that LG refuses to address, such as the matte panel and uneven back-light bleed. Although it may be the best monitor you can get that is suitable for mixed desktop use.
I would like to see the testbench results on this monitor.
This is the FIRST non-OLED gaming monitor in 240hz that is a flat panel and can rival 240hz OLED gaming variants. You guys need to review this one ASAP so those of us not wanting to go OLED can finally see a non-OLED monitor worth competing in the segment of OLEDs. 240hz, 4k, 2.1 DP, vesa certified HRD600, etc. Not since the Samsung G7 4k have we seen a non-OLED 240 monitor, and that one has a curve.
Это очень необычный монитор, единственный в мире IPS 4k240, да ещё и с двойным режимом АРВ 480 - только благодаря этой уникальности он стоит того, чтобы сделать на него обзор! This is a very unusual monitor, the only IPS 4k240 in the world, and even with dual ARV 480 mode - only because of this uniqueness is it worth reviewing!
I’d love to see if this monitor is a great choice for productivity-focused users who also want to game in 4K or 1080p at high refresh rates, just like with premium OLED panels.
