The Honeywell HUL430B is a cool-misting ultrasonic humidifier intended for small to medium-sized rooms, roughly 300 to 500 ft2. It has a bottom-filling tank with a usable capacity of 4.5L (1.2 gal) and can run for up to nearly 20 hours. It also boasts a tray for adding a few drops of your favorite essential oil.
The Honeywell HUL430B is decent for home use. It has a chic, modern appearance, with a compact design that will blend in within most living spaces. Its humidification capacity is also sufficient for fairly large spaces, in spite of being advertised mainly for medium-sized spaces. While it lacks a built-in humidistat, it does at least have an automatic off function, which will turn the unit off once its tank has run dry.
Compact design.
Humidification capacity is good.
Auto-off functionality.
No on-board humidistat.
Somewhat annoying to clean.
The Honeywell HUL430B is a good option for use in bedrooms. It's compact, quiet, and has no distracting lights visible through closed eyelids, allowing you to get a good night's rest. Its capacity is also sufficient for even large bedrooms. You can add essential oils to the aromatherapy tray at the back of the unit if you'd prefer a scented mist as well. Its 19-hour max runtime will easily last you through the night if you fill it up, and thankfully, it's equipped with an automatic off function that will turn the humidifier off once its tank has run dry. Unfortunately, it lacks a humidistat to automatically adjust misting levels, and it doesn't come with a remote control either.
Quiet operation.
Auto-off functionality.
Fairly long runtime.
No on-board humidistat.
Somewhat annoying to clean.
The Honeywell HUL430B is pretty demanding in terms of maintenance. It's fairly easy to take apart for the most part, with the small exception of its fiddly essential oil tray. None of its components are dishwasher safe, and you'll need to be careful when cleaning the base unit to avoid getting water into the rear vents.
Somewhat annoying to clean.
The Honeywell HUL430B provides good humidification capacity. While advertised for small to medium-sized spaces, it'll efficiently humidify fairly large spaces too, like smaller apartments, bigger living rooms, or college dorms.
Humidification capacity is good.
The Honeywell HUL430B is energy-efficient. Its max humidification capacity is pretty impressive for a unit with this low-power draw. That said, like any cool misting unit, it's best used in warmer, drier environments, where its cooling properties can help regulate temperature.
Good efficiency.
This Honeywell humidifier is only available in two colorways: 'Black,' which is sold as the HUL430B, or 'White,' which is sold as the HUL430W. We tested the 'Black' model, and for those interested, here's the product label.

The Honeywell HUL430B is a cool-misting ultrasonic humidifier. Compared to the Honeywell HUL545W, another similarly positioned model within the company's lineup, the HUL430B has a more modern appearance but is otherwise similar in terms of performance and features. It has good humidification performance, can be used with essential oils, and has an automatic shutoff for when its tank runs out, but it's worth noting that it's a bit more of a hassle to clean compared to some other units in the same price range.
The Honeywell HUL430B is somewhat demanding in terms of maintenance. It comes apart somewhat easily for the most part, with the exception of the essential oil tray, which can be a bit of a nuisance to pull out the back of the unit due to its small grip. When cleaning the base unit, you'll also have to be careful not to get any water into the rear vents.
Despite its wildly different appearance, the Honeywell HUL430B has a similar set of features to the Honeywell HUL545B. You can adjust the mist level with the front rotary dial. There's a rear tray for adding a few drops of your favorite essential oils.
The HUL430B is also equipped with an automatic off function, which will turn the unit off once the tank has run dry. Unfortunately, there's no humidistat, and the humidifier won't automatically adjust its misting level depending on desired ambient humidity.
This is an efficient humidifier. It provides good humidification capacity for a unit with this low a power draw.
Overall efficiency is impressive. That said, it's best used in warm and dry environments, where the cooling properties of ultrasonic humidifiers are most helpful. Using this machine in colder, drier environments can make your heating system work a little harder than usual, which could result in a slight bump to your energy bill if you use the unit often.

I am on win 11 and used the built in clear type tuner. My text in win 11 looks sharp as hell. No issues at all here. I am on the 48inch version of the C2. Thing kicks ass as a pc monitor.
Look up color control. It can do this.
I purchased the 48inch C2. I notice no text blurriness and the latency is perfect. I had a QN90B that I returned due to a bad panel. If you are looking for a PC monitor, the 42inch/48inch C2 is the monitor to get. Look at the thousands of reviews of happy people using this as a pc monitor with 0 issues. It’s a game changer for pc monitor use. Get it! Regular pc monitors look nowhere as good as this unit. You’d be crazy to use a regular pc monitor over this panel.
I am running the latest firmware. 1420. I have my set running at 144hertz and it passes your chroma 444 test. Do you guys still think it doesn’t display proper chroma (blurry text) at 144hertz? Cause I am running my win 11 desktop at 144hertz and like I said, it passes your chroma 444 test with no blurry text. I do not see any difference between 120hertz and 144hertrz for blurriness in the text. Why is text blurry at 144hertz when hdmi 2.1 can do 3840 x 2160 10-bit 144 39.19 Gbps?
I am on firmware 1310 and even with HDR enabled I have perfect text. Gonna keep it as it is.
Thank you again! So much! You guys are bomb diggity! Question! Does this tv (43inch) do chroma 444 when in game mode on PC label? Your chroma pic passes the test and it seems to be doing chroma 444 while in game mode on PC. Is this true? Thank you guys so much!
Awesome! Thank you, guys. You are the best! One last question. If I mainly use this tv for web browsing, reading and stuff and also pc gaming, when I play pc games on my desktop pc, would it kill me if I changed the input to blu-ray and used movie hdr picture mode and turned off game mode? I don’t mind lag vs picture quality. I want bright pop with HDR in games and good pq. What would I suffer from doing that? I’m thinking I would get the best HDR picture gaming that way (minus the crappy lag) but for single player games I am thinking this not FPS online. Thank you again!
Thank you so much! Also I should keep game mode on as well while the input in labeled PC right (for best desktop browsing and pc gaming)? Thanks!
I got the 43inches one and I use it as a PC monitor for 2 weeks. I did a manual software update via USB to v1403. I did not get VRR working on anything less than 144Hz. As a matter of fact, when the TV was in Game mode I didn’t even have the option to choose any other refresh rate at all. Even through Nvidia’s control panel (I have an RTX3070) I had a single option of 144Hz. Yesterday as I was playing an old point and click game at 1080p, which looked quite blurry, I thought about changing the scaling options. I went to Nvidia control panel Adjust Desktop size and Position>Perform scaling on. It was set to GPU and I thought let’s see if the TV can do something better than the GPU and I set it to Display. As if by magic all refresh rates became available and VRR IS WORKING fine at all 144, 120 and 100 Hz!!!! I personally left it at 120Hz cause it feels so much better. I think it has less delay to input and I think I get less ghost artifacts. I hope this helps all other buyers.
Is text sharp at 144hertz with VRR like it is at 120hertz/VRR? I heard that text looked really bad at 144hertz. Can you confirm this?
The series S only does 1440p. I do not own a seiries X that does 4k. I think someone mentioned that the TV does do chroma correctly at 1440p as long as the input is selected to PC. I am not sure though
