The Levoit LV600S has impressive humidification capacity. It won't have too much trouble quickly adding moisture to large, open-concept spaces.
Impressive overall capacity.
The Levoit LV600S' overall efficiency depends on the mode in which you run it. In its cool mist setting, it outputs a pretty significant amount of steam relative to its power draw. However, its power consumption skyrockets when it's set to its warm mist setting, though that would also offset the cost of having to heat your home in cooler, dryer months.
Low energy consumption in cool mist setting.
High power consumption in warm mist setting.

The Levoit LV600S is a smart humidifier with a unique hybrid design that allows it to output cool or warm mist. It's packed to the gills with features, including a humidistat, Wi-Fi connectivity, and an essential oil tray. The only fly in the ointment is its complicated design, making it a substantial annoyance to clean.
The Levoit LV600S is quite a bit of a hassle to clean. There are 18 separate components that need to be washed periodically, none of which are dishwasher safe and consequently have to be hand-washed. However, If you run this unit in its warm mist setting, its humidification efficiency drops considerably. Below are the findings for this test with the unit set to its warm mist setting.
External efficiency differs when this unit is run in its warm mist setting, with the energy required for evaporation dropping since maintaining humidity at 60% won't cool the room you're in. You can see the results of this test in that setting below:
It's worth noting that the result for the 'Noise @ Highest Setting' test was achieved in the humidifier's warm mist mode, with the highest heat and misting settings. Running the Levoit LV600S in its cool-mist mode at its highest misting setting yields a max operating noise of 32.0 dBA. The result for the 'Noise @ Lowest Setting' test was achieved with the unit in its cool mist-only mode at the lowest misting setting.
