The Virtuvi Cloud is a premium ultrasonic humidifier intended for medium-sized spaces. Its water tank is dishwasher-safe, and you can add a few drops of your favorite essential oil. The spout can also spin freely, allowing you to orient the mist in whatever direction you'd like.

Our Verdict

7.2 Home

The Vitruvi Cloud is decent for home use. Its humidification capacity is sufficient for medium-sized spaces, though it might struggle to humidify large open-concept spaces efficiently. It's also simple to operate and has an easy-to-clean design, creating a pleasant ownership experience. It's also worth noting that its shortest runtime setting doesn't run the unit for as long as advertised.

Pros
  • Relatively compact footprint.

  • Good overall humidification capacity.

Cons
  • Runtime is less than advertised at shortest timer setting.

8.2 Bedroom

The Vitruvi Cloud is great for use in bedrooms. It runs exceptionally quietly, to the point where it's barely audible. It also has a dedicated night mode that turns off its indicator lights, so you won't have to contend with any bright lights out the corner of your eye when trying to get some rest. It's also small enough to fit on a nightstand and operates pretty efficiently, which is good if you run it often. Its pre-programmed timer settings also allow you to set it and not worry about monitoring it overnight, as long as you fill its tank, though it doesn't run for as long as advertised in its shortest setting.

Pros
  • Relatively compact footprint.

  • Incredibly low operating noise.

Cons
  • Runtime is less than advertised at shortest timer setting.

7.5 Cleaning

The Vitruvi Cloud is easy to clean. There are relatively few parts that need to be washed by hand, and you can just toss the water tank into the dishwasher when necessary. That said, squeezing your hand or a washcloth into the narrowest recesses of the base plate can be difficult.

Pros
  • Dishwasher-safe water tank.

Cons
  • Base plate is difficult to clean at narrower end.

7.8 Capacity

The Vitruvi Cloud has a very good capacity. It's well-suited for use in medium-sized rooms, like larger bedrooms or living rooms.

Pros
  • Good overall humidification capacity.

Cons
7.7 Humidifier Efficiency

The Vitruvi Cloud is pretty efficient. Its power consumption ultimately isn't high enough to have a noticeable impact on your energy bill, even if it isn't the most power-efficient cool-misting unit on the market.

Pros
  • Unit is power-efficient.

Cons
  • 7.2 Home
  • 8.2 Bedroom

Differences Between Sizes And Variants

The Vitruvi Cloud is available in two color variants: 'White' and 'Oat'. We tested the 'Oat' model; here's the product label for those interested.

If you come across another variant of this humidifier, let us know in the comments.

Compared To Other Humidifiers

The Vitruvi Cloud is a high-end ultrasonic humidifier. It can be used as an essential oil diffuser, offers good humidification capacity, and runs incredibly quietly, making it a very good option for bedrooms. That said, compared to Carepod One, its closest rival both in terms of design and performance, it isn't quite as easy to clean and has an even shorter runtime.

The Vitruvi Cloud is easy to clean. Its water tank is dishwasher safe, but the remaining components are not. Thankfully, for the most part, they're pretty easy to clean. The one exception is its base, which narrows at one end to the point where it can be challenging to fit your hand or a brush to clean out any grime.

The Vitruvi Cloud is ultimately a pretty simple humidifier. There are four different timer settings, effectively allowing for set-it-and-forget-it operation. Unfortunately, unlike the Levoit LV600S, there's no humidistat, so you can't program the desired level of humidity you want the unit to maintain. There's an auto-off function, which turns off the unit once it's run for the desired period or when its water tank has run dry.

While there isn't a dedicated compartment for essential oils, the manufacturer states you can add a few drops to the water tank.

The Vitruvi Cloud's overall efficiency is comparable to that of the Carepod One, which is pretty efficient for an ultrasonic unit. Its power draw is practically negligible, even if you regularly run it for extended periods.

The Vitruvi Cloud has great overall efficiency. While its cool mist can force your heating system to work harder in colder, drier months to maintain a stable, comfortable temperature, it's a highly efficient option for warm and dry environments.
