Our Verdict

HP DeskJet 3755/3772

Epson EcoTank ET-2850

The Epson EcoTank ET-2850 is vastly superior to the HP DeskJet 3755/3772. Although both are all-in-one printers, the Epson features a much higher page yield with its refillable ink tanks and much better printing and scanning quality. Its recurring costs are also far lower due to its high page yield and inexpensive ink bottle refills. The HP is fine if you need to have a printer around for those once-in-a-blue-moon print jobs; however, if you don't use the printer frequently, it runs the risk of printhead clogging. As the printheads are on the ink cartridges, you will likely have to replace the whole cartridge and waste ink if the built-in maintenance functions don't work.
