Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 11 (2023)
Apple MacBook Air 13 (2024)
The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 11 (2023) and the Apple MacBook Air 13 (2024) are both ultraportables designed for light productivity tasks like web browsing, text processing, spreadsheets, and media consumption. Except for the port selection, the MacBook is better regarding the overall user experience; it has a more compact design that makes it easier to carry around, a larger and more responsive haptic touchpad, better-sounding speakers, and longer battery life. Plus, unlike the Lenovo, the MacBook is a fanless device, which is great if you often work in a noise-sensitive environment. The Lenovo has more display options, including touchscreens and a 2.8k OLED panel. However, none of them get as bright as the MacBook's Retina display, so if bright room visibility is important to you, the MacBook remains the better option. You can likely get more CPU processing power on the Lenovo if you get an Intel Core i7-1370P model, but the MacBook's M3 SoC has better graphical performance.
