The Frigidaire FFAP5033W1 is a 50-pint dehumidifier intended for large rooms. It's very similar in design to the Frigidaire FFAD5033W1, the one big difference being the FFAP5033W1's built-in drain pump. Otherwise, it has similar overall performance and features, with a washable filter, 1.8L/kWh Energy Star rating, and a 2.1 gal (8.0 L) water tank.
The Frigidaire FFAP5033W1 is an excellent option for basements. Its dehumidification capacity is sufficient for large basements, and it can generate tons of airflow, making it a great choice for large open-concept basements. It's also impressively energy-efficient, which is great if you leave it running for extended periods. You can hook it up to drain continuously and use its built-in drain pump so you won't have to empty its water tank. Just be aware that you'll have to purchase the drain hose separately.
The Frigidaire FFAP5033W1 is good for bathrooms, if a little overkill. Its dehumidification capacity is enough to handle even the most humid bathrooms, and it has a built-in pump that allows it to drain into a sink or high-walled tub. That said, this bulky machine is a little impractical to fit in smaller bathrooms. It's also on the noisier side and emits a fair amount of heat.
The Frigidaire FFAP5033W1 is great for larger rooms. Its dehumidification capacity is sufficient for even large, open-concept homes, and it generates a lot of air movement. Unfortunately, it's a little noisy, and it could be a bit of a nuisance if you have it set up nearby while trying to watch TV or entertain guests.
The Frigidaire FFAP5033W1 is an okay choice for bedrooms. It's a little too big to fit neatly in really small bedrooms, and it can make some tighter spaces feel pretty stuffy if you leave it running for a while. It's also a little noisy and produces pretty high airflow even at its lowest fan speed, which can be a little disruptive if you're an especially light sleeper. However, it does offer excellent dehumidification capacity, more than enough for large bedrooms.
The Frigidaire FFAP5033W1 has impressive dehumidification capacity. It can remove moisture from even large rooms.
The Frigidaire FFAP5033W1 makes a fair amount of noise. It's not too bad in the grand scheme of things, but the operating noise could be a little distracting if you're trying to get some rest, watch TV, or have company over.
The Frigidaire FFAP5033W1 is mediocre in terms of temperature stability. If it's left to run for hours at a time, it can make some smaller rooms feel stuffy and uncomfortable.
The Frigidaire FFAP5033W1 is only available in a 'White' colorway. You can see the label of the unit we tested here.

The Frigidaire FFAP5033W1 is a 50-pint dehumidifier. It has a lot going for it, with excellent dehumidification capacity, impressive energy efficiency, and fairly useful features, including a drain pump that allows it to drain out into an elevated container. That said, the newer Frigidaire FFAP5034W1 offers all of these same features but has a slightly more energy-efficient motor, which could make a small difference to your energy bill if you leave it running long enough.
This dehumidifier offers good overall airflow performance. It boasts a wide range of airflow through its three fan speed settings, allowing you to find a setting that best suits the ambient conditions of the room you're trying to dehumidify. At its highest speed, it can generate high levels of air movement in bigger spaces. Its lowest fan speed is slightly higher than many other dehumidifiers, which can be disruptive in confined spaces.
