The Whirlpool WHAD50PCW is a 50-pint dehumidifier intended for large spaces. It features an LED humidistat display, two different fan speeds, and built-in system memory, which allows the device to remember whatever settings it used before an interruption in power. You can also configure it to drain continuously, and it has a drain pump.
The Whirlpool WHAD50PCW is excellent for use in basements. It can generate a lot of airflow and offers sufficient capacity to draw moisture from the air from even large open-concept basements. It also has a large water tank and can be configured to drain continuously, which is great if you're running it for longer periods. Better yet, it has a drain pump, giving you a lot of added flexibility in terms of both device placement and drainage.
The Whirlpool WHAD50PCW is a good option for bathrooms, even though it's somewhat large and bulky. It offers excellent dehumidification capacity and can easily clear moisture from medium and large-sized bathrooms. You can set it up to drain continuously using a standard garden hose, and it also features a built-in pump, so it can drain into a sink, bathtub, or any elevated container.
The Whirlpool WHAD50PCW is a great fit for use in large rooms. It can generate a fair amount of air movement at its higher fan speed setting, even in large, open-concept spaces. It also offers excellent dehumidification capacity. It has a large 7.0 L water tank that you won't have to empty often. Unfortunately, it's somewhat noisy.
The Whirlpool WHAD50PCW is a mediocre option for bedrooms. It's big and noisy and can make a pretty noticeable impact on the ambient temperature of a room when left to run for a while, which makes it less than ideal for tighter bedrooms. That said, its amazing dehumidification capacity makes it a really good choice for large bedrooms.

The Whirlpool WHAD50PCW is somewhat noisy. If placed nearby, it can mask the sound of quieter TV dialogue and conversation spoken at a lower volume.
The Whirlpool WHAD50PCW does a poor job of maintaining a stable temperature. When left to run for extended periods, it puts out a lot of heat, so it isn't an ideal fit for confined spaces.

The Whirlpool WHAD50PCW is a full-size 50-pint dehumidifier. It provides excellent dehumidification capacity and has a built-in drain pump, making it a great option for large basements. That said, compared to the Frigidaire FFAP5034W1, it has a smaller water tank and also generates more heat and noise while running.
This dehumidifier has good airflow performance. While its max fan speed isn't as high as other similarly-sized alternatives, it's still sufficient to generate a fair amount of air movement in larger spaces. Airflow in its slow fan speed setting also results in lower airflow than those peers, which can be less of an annoyance when you place the device in a smaller room, where you might be in the path of the oncoming rush of air.
