The Frigidaire FFAP5034W1 is a 50-pint dehumidifier intended for larger spaces. In terms of specifications, it's all but identical to the previous generation FFAP5033W1. The sole noticeable difference is a slightly more energy-efficient motor, resulting in a marginally better Energy Star rating of 1.9L/kWh. It has an 8.3 L water tank, a port for continuous drainage, and a built-in drain pump.
The Frigidaire FFAP5034W1 is an excellent option for basements. It provides amazing dehumidification capacity and can generate tons of airflow, making it a great choice for large open-concept basements. It's also impressively energy-efficient, which is great if you leave it running for extended periods. It has a fairly large water tank you won't need to empty too often; you can hook it up to drain continuously and use its built-in drain pump. Unfortunately, you'll have to purchase the drain hose separately.
The Frigidaire FFAP5034W1 is a good option for bathrooms. It might be a little too big and noisy for smaller bathrooms, but it does offer excellent dehumidification capacity. Its built-in pump lets it drain accumulated water into a sink, high-walled tub, or any other elevated container.
The Frigidaire FFAP5034W1 is a great choice for larger rooms. It can generate pretty high airflow at its highest fan speed setting, promoting air circulation even in open spaces. Its dehumidification capacity is also amazing. However, it's somewhat noisy and can generate a lot of heat, so you might want to move it away if you leave it running while watching TV in your living room.
The Frigidaire FFAP5034W1 is a reasonable option for bedrooms, though it's primarily suited for really large spaces for a couple of reasons. It emits quite a lot of heat and is rather noisy, both things to be aware of if you're an especially light sleeper. That said, it does provide excellent dehumidification capacity.
The Frigidaire FFAP5034W1 has amazing dehumidification capacity. It offers sufficient dehumidification capacity to clear most moisture from even large-sized rooms.
The Frigidaire FFAP5034W1 makes a fair amount of noise. It'll be something of a nuisance if you need to leave it running at its highest fan speed while you're trying to get some rest, watch TV, or have company over.
The Frigidaire FFAP5034W1 emits quite a bit of heat while running. If it's left to run for hours at a time, it can make some smaller rooms feel stuffy and uncomfortable.
The Frigidaire FFAP5034W1 is only available in a 'White' colorway. You can see the label of the unit we tested here.

The Frigidaire FFAP5034W1 is a 50-pint dehumidifier intended for large spaces. It performs almost identically to a lot of other Frigidaire models with similar capacities, offering relatively high max airflow and impressive energy efficiency. This model differs from the older Frigidaire FFAP5033W1 with a more energy-efficient motor and the Frigidaire FFAD5033W1 due to its inclusion of a drain pump.
This dehumidifier offers good overall airflow performance. Like the Frigidaire FFAP5033W1, it has a wide airflow range; at its highest speed, it can generate high levels of air movement in bigger spaces. However, at its lowest fan speed setting, airflow is somewhat higher than many other dehumidifiers, which can be disruptive in confined spaces. All the same, a wide range of airflow speeds is a benefit, as it allows you to choose a setting that best fits the ambient conditions of the room you set it up in.
