Test Bench 0.12.1 is a minor update with three small changes.
We've added a 'Raw Photo Performance' usage box in the 'Our Verdict' section of the review to give cameras an overall RAW image quality score. The score is evenly calculated from a camera's 'Photo RAW Dynamic Range,' 'Photo RAW Sharpness,' and 'Photo RAW Noise' scores.
We've adjusted how we score 'Photo RAW Noise.' We now use SNR 18% data points from slower exposure times to accommodate cameras that can't capture a properly exposed image under our testing conditions at shutter speeds as quick as 1/1000s or 1/4000s.
The score breakdown has also been tweaked, with less weight placed on SNR 18% data at the slowest shutter speed, as noise is less of an issue at longer exposure times.
Use When Charging has been renamed to Power Delivery While Recording. Rather than emphasizing a camera's ability to recharge its battery while in use, this comparison now reflects whether cameras support use with an external power supply via USB, regardless of whether the internal battery recharges while doing so.
We have retested popular models. The test results for the following models have been converted to the new testing methodology. However, the text might be inconsistent with the new results.
