On the upside, it has no problem picking up smaller debris like rice on this surface type.

Compared To Other Robot Vacuums
The Coredy Robot Vacuum Cleaner is a budget-level robot vacuum. While it's well-built and comes with a remote control so you can pilot it, its performance on all surface types is disappointing at best. It struggles on bare floors, which is unusual for this type of vacuum, and although it supports a mopping feature, these parts aren't included in-the-box. It also has extremely high recurring costs, even when compared to other similarly-priced vacuums like the Roborock E4. The eufy RoboVac 11S is a better robot vacuum than the Coredy R550 (R500+). The eufy has fewer recurring costs and performs better on all surface types. It also has better maneuverability. However, the Coredy is easier to maintain.
The iRobot Roomba 675 is a better robot vacuum than the Coredy R550 (R500+). The iRobot is better built, easier to maintain, and has fewer recurring costs. Its battery performance is better, and it cleans bare floors and low-pile carpet more effectively. However, the Coredy does a better job on high-pile carpet and comes with a remote controller so that you can pilot the robot.
The Roborock E4 is a better robot vacuum than the Coredy R550 (R500+). The Roborock is better-built, easier to maintain, and has fewer recurring costs. It also performs better on all surface types, is more maneuverable, and has a companion app. That said, the Coredy comes with a remote control that doesn't need an internet connection to work.
The iRobot Roomba E5 is a better robot vacuum than the Coredy R550 (R500+). The iRobot is better-built, easier to maintain, and has fewer recurring costs. The bObsweep Bob Pro is a better robot vacuum for bare floors than the Coredy R550 (R500+). The bObsweep is better-built, more maneuverable, and does a significantly better job of cleaning bare floors. It also has a slightly better performance on carpet, although it really struggles with picking up pet hair. However, the Coredy is easier to maintain.
The iRobot Roomba 694 is better than the Coredy R550 (R500+). The iRobot is better-built, incurs lower recurring costs, maneuvers itself more effectively, performs notably better on bare floors and high-pile carpet, and charges much faster while offering a similar battery life. It also has a companion app and a more advanced suite of automation features. That said, the Coredy doesn't need an internet connection to function and has a HEPA filter.
Test Results
The Coredy Robot Vacuum Cleaner has a decent build quality. It's mostly made of hard plastic with a glossy, faux glass top. There's also a thin rubber bumper, and its drive and swivel wheels are made of rubber as well. Overall, it feels sturdy, although the clear plastic dust bin could possibly crack if dropped.
It's easy to assemble out-of-the-box. All you need to do is click both side brushes into place and plug in the dock station.
The Coredy Robot Vacuum Cleaner is difficult to maintain as several parts need regular maintenance. However, most of its parts are easy to access.
- Dustbin: To remove this part, you can push its release button down and pull it out. It should be opened and emptied after each use.
- Filter: The filter can be lifted off of the dustbin lid and tapped against a garbage bin to dislodge stuck-on debris. It should be cleaned at least once or twice a week if you have pets.
- Side brushes: The two side brushes can be pulled out of their sockets if you need to remove hair wraps or string. You can also tap them against a garbage bin to dislodge dirt. They should be cleaned once or twice a week if you have pets.
- Brush guard: You can remove this part by pressing its release tabs and pulling it out. It should be cleaned of dust and stuck-on debris once a month.
- Brushroll: To clean this part, you need to flip this vacuum upside down, unclip the brushguard, and remove the brushroll. It can be cleaned with the cleaning tool if you need to remove hair wraps or you can use another vacuum cleaner to take care of built-up debris. It should be cleaned once or twice a week if you have pets.
- Swivel wheel: The swivel wheel pulls out if you need to clean any hair or debris wrapped around the wheel or inside the wheel cavity. It should be cleaned once every month.
- Sensors: The sensors can be dusted off with a dry cloth once every month.
The Coredy Robot Vacuum Cleaner has a lot of recurring costs.
- Filter: The filter should be replaced every two to three months. You can purchase a pack of two from the manufacturer's website.
- Side brush: The side brush should be replaced every two to three months, or when visibly worn. This part is sold in packs of eight through Coredy's website.
- Brushroll: The brushroll has an estimated life of three to six months and is available on Coredy's website.
- Brush guard: The manual recommends replacing this part every three to six months. You can purchase this part through Coredy's Amazon store.
- Dustbin: The dustbin has to be replaced every 12 months, as per the manual. This part is sold on the Coredy website in a pack that also includes the pre-filter, HEPA filter, and foam filter.
The Coredy Robot Vacuum Cleaner is remarkably easy to store. It's compact, and it can mount itself onto its docking station. Any excess length of power cable can also be stored in the back of the charger.
The Coredy Robot Vacuum Cleaner has an acceptably-sized dirt compartment. Its capacity falls a little bit short of its advertised claim of 0.5L, and it doesn't have a max fill line indicator to let you know when it's full.

The Coredy Robot Vacuum Cleaner has a virtually unlimited range as long as it still has sufficient battery life and room left in its dirt compartment. However, it can't go up or down stairs.
The Coredy Robot Vacuum Cleaner is very portable. It's not too heavy, and although it doesn't have a carrying handle, it should still be easy to transport from one room to another.
The battery life of this vacuum is outstanding. In its most powerful 'MAX' mode, it can last under 70 minutes. However, if you want to extend its battery life, its default 'AUTO' mode runs for around two hours. That said, it can take over three and a half hours for it to recharge again. Luckily, it has indicator lights that change color to let you know its battery status. When they're blue, it's fully charged, in standby mode, or cleaning mode. If the vacuum has low battery life, its indicator light turns pink and then flashes as it charges up again.
The Coredy Robot Vacuum Cleaner has a couple of quality of life features. It has two power settings: its default 'auto-cleaning' mode, and its most powerful 'MAX' mode. Using the remote, there are also a few different cleaning methods. There's 'auto-cleaning', 'spot cleaning' for tackling messes in a localized area, 'edge cleaning' to clean near walls, and 'mini-room mode' for smaller spaces.
The Coredy Robot Vacuum Cleaner doesn't come with many tools or brushes. It has two side brushes to help push debris into the bath of its brushroll and it comes with two extra replacement parts. It also comes with a tool cleaning kit with a hook blade so you can detangle hair wraps. The manufacturer advertises that this vacuum can also be turned into a mop. However, we don't currently test this feature. These parts aren't included in-the-box and must be bought separately.
This vacuum doesn't have any alternative configurations.
This vacuum has a poor performance on bare floors. Some pet hair can get caught on the brushroll and intake opening. Large debris like cereal may also not get picked up, even if the vacuum goes over them. Some of those pieces can get stuck in the brushroll. On the upside, it can effectively pick up most small debris like rice.
The Coredy Robot Vacuum Cleaner has a bad performance on low-floors. Just like on bare floors, pet hair can stick to the brushroll and intake opening rather than getting fully sucked up. This vacuum also has some trouble in picking up small and large debris, as materials like sand or baking soda can get stuck on the robot's bumper. That said, it can still pick up a decent amount of large debris, though you still might want to consider the eufy RoboVac 25C if you're looking for an affordable vacuum that does a better job on this surface.
This vacuum has a disappointing performance on high-pile carpet. Pet hair can stick to the brushroll and intake opening rather than getting fully picked up. Just like on low-pile carpet, debris can stick to the robot's rubber bumper. That said, it does a better job of picking up large debris like sand than finer material like baking soda.
The Coredy Robot Vacuum Cleaner has just passable maneuverability. While the manual notes that the vacuum will return to its base once it's done its cleaning circle, we had to manually return the vacuum after 55 minutes of cleaning. Using its default 'Auto Cleaning' mode, it uses random navigation to maneuver in a room, and it can easily get underneath tables and chairs. It cleans an area fairly well, but it can get stuck on objects like rug tassels or the legs of a coat rack. It can also drag electrical cords around.
This vacuum has acceptable automation features. You don't need an internet connection to use the robot, as the included remote can control all of its features. You can adjust its power level, switch cleaning modes, set a scheduled cleaning time, return the robot to its dock, and manually control its movement using the direction buttons. However, it doesn't have a companion app, and if you're looking for boundary markers, you need to purchase them separately.
