It's well-suited for all grip types and most hand sizes, but small hands may have trouble reaching both side buttons and the scroll wheel using any grip type. Performance-wise, it has a very low lift-off distance, and you can set the CPI by increments of 100 within a broad range. Unfortunately, the unit we tested has very high click latency for a gaming mouse.

Through its website, Pwnage offers a range of modular pieces in nine colorways that change the look and feel of the mouse, including palm rests, L/R click buttons, button spacers, mouse feet with different thicknesses, and CPI buttons of varying heights. It also has a very comfortable and time-tested shape very similar to the BenQ ZOWIE S2 and solid sensor performance. Unfortunately, the unit we tested has very high click latency, making it much less suitable for gaming than its otherwise very similar right-handed counterpart, the Pwnage Ultra Custom Wireless Ergo.

The Pwnage Ultra Custom Wireless Symm 2 is the newer version of the Pwnage Ultra Custom Wireless Symm. The Symm 2 has a wider CPI range, and the CPI can be set in increments of 50 rather than 100, and it has significantly better click latency. Also, the Symm 2 has an updated PixArt sensor and uses newer Kailh 8.0 switches for the L/R buttons.
The solid plastic palm rest cover on the Pwnage Ultra Custom Wireless Symm weighs approximately 2g more than the honeycomb version. In the user manual, Pwnage suggests you can remove the palm rest while using a fingertip grip, which reduces the weight of the mouse to 67.68g.
Pwnage advertises the Pwnage Ultra Custom Wireless Ergo has a battery life of up to 66 hours using the "office mode" battery setting with the RGB lighting off and up to 40 hours of battery life using "gaming mode" with all RGB lighting on. The RGB lighting on the Pwnage Ultra Custom Wireless Symm flashes to indicate when the battery drops to 10%.
The polling rate options on the Pwnage Ultra Custom Wireless Symm are 125Hz, 250Hz, 500Hz, and 1000Hz. Pwnage advertises the minimum CPI is 200, but the software allows you to set it to 100. You can set six custom CPI settings per profile and use the default CPI button behind the scroll wheel to cycle between them. The RGB lighting in the scroll wheel changes to identify which CPI setting you're currently using.
You can program all of the buttons on the top of the Pwnage Ultra Custom Wireless Symm. However, you have to have at least one button assigned as a left-click at all times, and you can't reprogram the up/down inputs of the scroll wheel. There's also an additional switch on the bottom of the Pwnage Ultra Custom Wireless Symm that changes between battery usage options.
The Pwnage Ultra Custom Wireless Symm we tested has very high click latency. However, the newer version, the Pwnage Ultra Custom Wireless Symm 2 has a much lower click latency.
Note: We expected the click latency test results for the Pwnage Ultra Custom Wireless Symm to be closer to those of the Pwnage Ultra Custom Wireless Ergo, which is a very similar right-handed version of this mouse. We retested the click latency multiple times and received consistently high results. However, we achieved much lower results testing other mice using the same equipment within the same day.
