The Havit HV-MS735 is a great wired MMO gaming mouse. Its slightly slanted, right-handed design is comfortable enough for extended gaming sessions, and anyone with medium or larger hands should be able to use it comfortably in both palm or claw grip. It features 12 side buttons that are fully reprogrammable within the software, and it has excellent sensor performance and a fairly low click latency. While the mouse feels well-built, unfortunately the side buttons feel a bit mushy and aren't backlit evenly. The entire mouse is also quite smooth and may get oily and slippery over time.

Our Verdict

N/A Office/Multimedia

The Havit HV-MS735 is a decent mouse for office and multimedia use. While it's designed for MMO gaming, its plethora of programmable buttons can be helpful in quickly navigating through your desktop or programs. Its slightly ergonomic shape is quite comfortable for extended use, and it's suitable for everyone except those with small hands.

Pros
  • Lots of programmable buttons.
  • Comfortable and durable design.
  • Excellent sensor performance and low click latency.
Cons
  • Stiff and rigid cable.
  • Slightly mushy-feeling side buttons.
  • Smooth finish may get slippery and oily.
N/A Video Games (FPS)

The Havit HV-MS735 is an okay mouse for FPS gaming. Its bulky design is fairly heavy, which may not be ideal for FPS games, but it has a ton of programmable buttons and a fairly low click latency. The mouse is quite comfortable for palm or claw grip for everyone except those with small hands, and both the CPI and polling rate can be adjusted.

Pros
  • Lots of programmable buttons.
  • Comfortable and durable design.
  • Excellent sensor performance and low click latency.
Cons
  • Stiff and rigid cable.
  • Slightly mushy-feeling side buttons.
  • Smooth finish may get slippery and oily.
N/A Video Games (MMO)

The Havit HV-MS735 is a great MMO gaming mouse. It has 12 side buttons that, along with all the other buttons, can be programmed within its companion software to do anything you want. Its slanted design is quite comfortable even for extended gaming sessions, and only those with small hands will have a hard time getting a good grip. Unfortunately, the side buttons are fairly mushy feeling, though this is common with budget MMO mice.

Pros
  • Lots of programmable buttons.
  • Comfortable and durable design.
  • Excellent sensor performance and low click latency.
Cons
  • Stiff and rigid cable.
  • Slightly mushy-feeling side buttons.
  • Smooth finish may get slippery and oily.
N/A Ultra-Light Gaming

The Havit HV-MS735 is a heavy mouse that isn't recommended for ultra-light gaming.

Pros

  • Comfortable and durable design.
  • Excellent sensor performance and low click latency.
Cons
  • Stiff and rigid cable.
  • Slightly mushy-feeling side buttons.
  • Smooth finish may get slippery and oily.
N/A Travel

Like most wired gaming mice, the Havit HV-MS735 isn't recommended for travel. It's a fairly large and bulky mouse that likely won't fit into most laptop cases, and its wire will be cumbersome when trying to use it in a tight space like a plane or train.

Pros
  • Lots of programmable buttons.
  • Comfortable and durable design.
  • Excellent sensor performance and low click latency.
Cons
  • Stiff and rigid cable.
  • Slightly mushy-feeling side buttons.

Compared To Other Mice

The Havit HV-MS735 is a great MMO gaming mouse with a 12-button side panel similar to the Corsair Scimitar RGB Pro and the Logitech G600 MMO Gaming Mouse. See our recommendations for the best wired mouse and the best gaming mouse overall.

Havit HV-MS760

The Havit HV-MS735 is a better MMO gaming mouse than the Havit HV-MS760. The MS735 is a dedicated MMO mouse, while the MS760 has swappable side panels, making it good for a wider variety of games. However, the MS735 has more side buttons, a much lower minimum CPI, and a much lower click latency. Both mice are recommended for medium or large hands with claw or palm grip and only larger hands for fingertip grip.

Corsair SCIMITAR PRO RGB

The Corsair SCIMITAR PRO RGB is a better MMO gaming mouse than the Havit HV-MS735. The Corsair feels better built, has a lower click latency, and has a more adjustable CPI. Its software is also fully compatible with macOS, and you can switch profiles directly on the mouse without needing to go into the software like with the Havit. On the other hand, the Havit has more programmable buttons thanks to the L/R tilt buttons on its mouse wheel. The Corsair is better suited for smaller hands, while the Havit is better suited for extra-large hands.

Logitech G600 MMO Gaming

The Logitech G600 MMO Gaming Mouse is a better MMO mouse than the Havit HV-MS735. The Logitech has a lower click latency, is fully compatible with macOS, and has more buttons that feel more responsive. On the other hand, the Havit has a wider adjustable CPI range. Both mice are recommended for medium or larger hands with palm or claw grip.

UtechSmart VENUS

The UtechSmart VENUS is a slightly better wired MMO gaming mouse than the Havit HV-MS735. The VENUS has a wider and more consistent CPI range, as well as a profile switching button on the mouse itself. The Havit, on the other hand, is better if you have extra-large hands, and it's a tiny bit lighter.

The build quality is great. It feels quite solid overall with very little flex. There's a slight amount of wobble on the mouse wheel, but nowhere else, and the mouse has an overall nice soft texture to it. Unfortunately, the side buttons feel fairly mushy.

The Havit HV-MS735 is a MMO gaming mouse with a ton of extra buttons. All 12 side buttons can be programmed within the software, as well as every other button on the mouse, which is great. While there isn't a profile switching button on the mouse itself, you can change profiles within the software. For a similar MMO mouse with a 12-button side panel that you can adjust to better suit your hand size or grip type, check out the Corsair SCIMITAR RGB ELITE.

While the mouse is fully compatible with Windows, unfortunately, the software can't be installed on macOS, and all 12 side buttons do nothing out-of-the-box. Luckily, the mouse has on-board memory, so you can program the buttons on a Windows PC and the settings will stick when used on a Mac.
