The LG 27GP850-B/27GP83B-B is a bit better than the LG 27GN850-B/27GN880-B. The 27GP850 has a higher refresh rate, resulting in a faster response time and clearer motion. The 27GP850 also has an optional black frame insertion feature to reduce the appearance of persistence blur, but it's a bit limited and only works over a narrow refresh rate range. Finally, the 27GP850 has slightly better connectivity, with a built-in USB hub.

The noise handling rating doesn’t seem right to me. When I listen to the audio recordings, especially Speech + Subway Noise, it actually seems really good to me, which is also confirmed by my own experience and told by friends I was calling. Subjectively, 5.7 seems way too low as noise handling rating. In contrast the Plantronics Voyager 5200 is recommended as better alternative in this regard (even rated 8.9 for noise handling), but when I listen to its audio recordings, it is really really bad.
Thank you, we appreciate the feedback! It seems this might be a limitation of the objective testing methodology we used to have for this test. We’ve singe moved on from that methodology though, because we noticed there were some edge cases where it was giving potentially strange results. We’d normally have another look, but unfortunately we don’t have the unit we bought anymore to retest. Sorry about that!
